Workshop
Interbrand’s workshop will be about companies’ most valuable asset: Their brand. In the workshop we will explain and engage students in how we, as the world leading branding consultancy, create, manage and value brands.
Patrick Stal, Managing Director Interbrand Amsterdam
Patrick is Managing Director of Interbrand Amsterdam and responsible for Interbrand’s activities in the Benelux.
Patrick has always held very strong passion and expertise in branding has has been ranked as one of the 30 best marketing advisors in the Netherlands by Tijdschrift voor Marketing.
Since joining Interbrand in 2009 Patrick has been intimately involved in creating and managing some of the most interesting brands across The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Some of these include ASICS, AEGON, ABN AMRO, DSM, bpost, Randstad, Opel, HEMA and Feadship. Patrick has a long standing experience in family business branding and is a guest lecturer of branding at the University of Groningen’s brand management program.
Before joining Interbrand Patrick worked as a Senior Consultant for Kurt Salmon Associates. In this position Patrick worked with Retail brands throughout Europe and the Middle East including clients such as Intersport, de Bijenkorf, Globus, Scapino, Breuninger, Vroom & Dreesman, ETOS, Escada, Manfield, Pro Sport, Dolcis, Abercrombie & Fitch and Al-Maktaba (Saudi Arabia).
Patrick has a BA in Economics and a Cum Laude MSc in General Management from Nyenrode Business Universiteit in The Netherlands. He has also interned with BMW in Madrid.
Ariën Breunis, Senior Consultant
Ariën joined Interbrand in 2011 after holding several Marketing Intelligence positions in FMCG and Consumer Electronics companies. He has a true passion for brands and consumers and he is committed to the business he is serving. As a fact-based consultant, he gained extensive knowledge of marketing research in the fields of advertising, marketing communication and brand equity.
Before joining Interbrand he worked for 6+ years at Philips, PepsiCo and Millward Brown.
At Philips he held the position of sr. manager in innovation-, consumer- and marketing intelligence. In this role he supported the global decision-making process by providing relevant and decision critical consumer insights.
As a research manager at PepsiCo, Ariën was responsible for marketing- and communication research within the Dutch, Belgian and Scandinavian business units. He worked with the brand teams of 7UP, Lay’s, Smiths, Duyvis, Doritos, Snack-a-Jacks and Quaker to help them build excellent advertising platforms and grow strong brands.
His professional career started at Millward Brown where he was a FMCG research specialist. He acted as a consultant for clients like Sara Lee, Heineken, Coca-Cola, Danone, Reckitt Benckiser, GlaxoSmithKline, Diageo and PepsiCo.
Ariën holds two masters degrees in Communication Science. At the universities of Groningen (MA) and Amsterdam (MSc) he specialized in the fields of organizational communication and marketing research.
